Yahoo today has launched a new design of its home page which looks much cleaner and streamline than every before. It features more AJAX programming, which enables users to view content by clicking or hovering their mouse over certain links without ever having to leave the page.
Furthermore, the new page allows you to choose from many third-party sources for content and services such as Facebook. The new design is enabling users to obtain all of their content; from news to friends on Facebook, from auctions to Finance and everything in between all in one place.
There's also over 65 widgets that you can easily place anywhere on the Yahoo home page and you can even create your own widgets with the App Maker. Perhaps you want a feed of our latest news site like Tech Fragments? You can make an App for that, simple point our RSS feed to the site and you're done.
The new Yahoo homepage is currently an opt-in feature, so you have to hit the yahoo.com/trynew web page to opt-in to the new design. It's currently only being tested in the United States.
