PS3 Update 2.80 Firmware Release Time

Sony PS3 users can rejoice today now that the Playstation3 Update 2.80 update has been released, finally. While the update doesn't provide a whole lot of new features, the 2.80 firmware update should provide improved playback quality.

The official announcement came from the Playstation Blog where they said the update will be coming. What does the update bring us?

Some are saying it should bring in-game video chat, cross-game chat, cross-platform chat, and even full-body motion control using someone else's body. The official PlayStation blog only says something about improving playback quality. I guess we'll still have to wait and see what the update actually brings us.
