Apple Customers Line Up Early To Grab An iPhone 3G S

Apple customers have been lined up at Apple Stores around the world this morning to be among the first to own the new iPhone 3G S which went on sale this morning. Apple began selling the new, highly anticipated, phone at 7AM ET.

A couple hundred people and more have been spotted lined up outside of Apple Stores early this morning awaiting for the doors to open. Some customers even brought laptops with them so that they could use the Apple Store's WiFi Internet to activate their new iPhone 3G S without having to go home to do so.

The new phone comes with a 3-megapixel digital camera with video capturing and autofocus capabilities. The phone also has better battery life than the original iPhone 3G as well as, longer talk time, voice command controls, and a built-in digital compass. You'll also find that the iPhone 3G S comes with double the storage capacity (32GB) compared to the older iPhone 3G.

The 16GB iPhone 3G S is $199 and the 32GB iPhone 3G S goes for $299. Both phones require a two-year contract.
