Microsoft Xbox Live Down For Maintenance Today

Today, June 16th from 12:00AM PST for up to 24 hours, Microsoft's Xbox Live service will be offline for maintenance. This means Xbox Live and the 'My Xbox' section on Xbox.com will not be available. In addition, the Xbox forums will be in read only mode, no new posts will be allowed.

The maintenance is in preparation for the new features coming to the Xbox later this year. The new features will bring Twitter and Facebook integration as well as music streaming from Last.FM. There will also be on-demand movies in 1080p HD format.

After the maintenance period is over, there will not be any visible new features or changes. This is only a scheduled maintenance in preparations for the new features coming later in the year.
