Spotify Mobile App For Google Android Might Hurt Apple

Spotify, an online music streaming service, has just released a video of its new mobile version of its software that runs on Google Android devices to utilize the mobile edition of its services.

The video show's us the Spotify Mobile App running on a Google Android device and how easy it is to use the application. The demonstration further shows streaming music on the device, even if the device is offline and also shows us how to drag and drop files to the device instantly with no wires attached.

Perhaps you are sometimes in a place where Wi-Fi and cellular service isn't. Spotify can automatically sync when its in a WiFi Hot Spot and when you go offline you can listen to all of your favorite music.

One thing that I have noticed, the application running on this device is very fast! It would seem a lot less sluggish than some of my iPhone apps that I currently have. Perhaps the hardware is a bit beefier or the OS simply runs better?

Is there an iPhone version and is the service available in the U.S.? There apparently is an iPhone version "in the works" and it's not currently known if the streaming service is coming to the U.S. yet but if we had to guess, I would say perhaps so.

One thing is for sure, Apple could be a bit scared of this new soon to be released application for Google Android because Apple doesn't allow anything similar in its App Store currently. If I were Apple, I would be nervous in thinking that a lot of users might jump ship - especially when the Android Apps really begin to rollout.
