Google has launched its new Google Chrome 2.0 web browser, which they say has a drastic speed improvement, is more stable, and includes several new features that have been requested by its users. Where you'll really see an improvement on speed is on web sites that rely heavily on JavaScript as Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine happens to be 30 percent faster than before.
"It's been about 8 months since we launched Google Chrome. Aside from exclaiming how fast it is, users have been sending us lots of feedback and feature requests. We've increased our focus on speed and also added some of the most-requested features." said Darin Fisher of the Google Chrome Team.
The update will automatically be pushed to your browser according to Fisher. Some of the new or changed features include; full screen mode (F11), autofill function on forms, improved New Tab Page allowing you to remove thumbnails, and they've fixed over 300 identified bugs.
Google ran a nationwide TV Ad Campaign a few weeks ago in attempt to gain more market share. The feedback has been very positive according to Google and they appear to be gaining a lot of traction.
