According to Acer's Bobby Watkins, the managing director of Acer UK, Microsoft's new operating system Windows 7 is scheduled to ship October 23rd of this year. This confirms earlier reports that we've heard stating that Windows 7 would ship ahead of the 2010 target date that Microsoft originally said.
Watkins said that "23 October is the date Windows 7 will be available" during an interview with Pocket Lint.
This is the first 'real date' that we've seen that wasn't speculation and as we get closer to this fall I'm sure it won't be the last.
