Apple Removes iPhone Baby Shaker Application After Outrage

Here today and gone tomorrow was the iPhone 'Baby Shaker' application. What you might think is only a baby rattle, this app actually had a baby on the screen and when you shook the iPhone it would simulate shaking of an infant. The app was developed by Sikalosoft, but for what reason? Apple apparently approved the application but once the application was in the wild it quickly became controversial and Apple removed the app from the online store.

The application description read as: "On a plane, on the bus, in a theater. Babies are everywhere you dont want them to be! Theyre always distracting you from preparing for that big presentation at work with their incessant crying. Before Baby Shaker there was nothing you could do about it. See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!"

Mother's and Fathers who have children with irreversible brain damage from 'Shaken Baby Syndrome' would have to be the most outraged of the application or anyone with children for that matter and even those who don't. Words probably can't describe what parents are thinking from children that have brain damage from the result of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

I think it was a smart move by Apple to remove the application as it really goes against moral values and adds nothing to the iPhone.
