Gmail Consumer and Business Accounts Suffering Outage

If you have tried to access your Gmail account today, you may have issues getting in. According to Google, shortly after 9:30am GMT their monitoring systems alerted them that Gmail consumer and business accounts worldwide could not get access to their email.

They're working hard to resolve the problems. Google is providing updates at mail.google.com/support with the latest one stating: "We're aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a number of users. This problem occurred at approximately 1.30AM Pacific Time. We're working hard to resolve this problem and will post updates as we have them. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused."

Users that have enabled the Gmail offline feature with Google Gears, should still be able to get to their email however they will still be unable to send or receive mail.

I personally am able to login to my Gmail, send and receive mail. Maybe the outage is over now or maybe it isn't affecting all users.
