Facebook Reverts Back to Original TOS

The Facebook saga continues today, now with the company completely withdrawing its new TOS and replacing it with the previous one according to a blog post on the company's site. "Going forward, we've decided to take a new approach towards developing our terms. We concluded that returning to our previous terms was the right thing for now." the blog stated.

Due to the outrage from the Facebook community, we believed it was the right thing to do. Under the, now old TOS, verbiage in the TOS stated that the company could do with your data as they deem fit. This means any data that you upload to them, including photo's and pictures, could have be used by Facebook how they wish. It also stated that they would own your data forever including after your account had been shutdown as your content will never expire.

We think reverting to the original TOS was a good move, especially for a quick resolution to the problems.
