Microsoft To Layoff 15,000 Workers?

The next large company to lay off people may be one that you never thought would, Microsoft. However, Google has done it why can't Microsoft? Rumors have been floating that a big layoff is the inevitable at the large company. A layoff as big as 10 - 15 percent of their workforce and as early as January 15th could be coming.

If the layoff is true then it would be the first layoff in the history of Microsoft and we can all thank the sour economy for that. What are your thoughts on the rumor and is there any truth in them? We are hearing that the MSN unit may take the biggest hit and Microsoft EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
