Walmart Apple iPhone for $99 Dollars?

Reports have been floating around that mammoth Walmart will soon start selling a $99 Apple iPhone. The phone is reportedly to go on sale by end of year and will have all of the features that current iPhones have but with only 4GB of memory.

Of course all of this is still speculation and nor Wal-mart, Apple, or ATT have responded to questions related to these rumors. At this point in Apple's success with the iPhone, I find it unlikely they would cut the price to $99 and the memory just yet. It makes more sense, business wise, to squeeze every last penny out of the currently priced model structure of the 8GB and 16GB. Once they have reached a peak of where they think everyone interested in buying one has bought one, then you would open up to the more budget friendly crowed of folks. This is simply my take on it but only time will tell if this rumor actually turns out to be a reality.
