New iPhone Bootrom to Prevent 3GS Jailbreaking

The newest batch of iphones shipping from Apple include and updated bootrom which blocks the Dev-Teamss 24kpwn exploit. Jailbreaking is the practice of opening an iPhone or other mobile device up to applications not officially allowed, in this case, approved by Apple.

Bootrom iBoot-259.3.2, which began shipping last week, is not vulnerable to the 24kpwn jailbreak exploit. To verify phone bootrom version, check the system profiler while in DFU mode.
